To this day I'd recommend them as a beginner-friendly deck, not just for learning the ropes on Pendulum Summoning (thought it does help that most of the Metalfoes are Normal Monsters so they are actually quite beginner friendly) but for Yugioh in general, and also as a deck that someone can adapt and learn deckbuilding basics from due to how versatile the core archetype is and how expansive the deck can be. While Pendulum's impact on the meta is forever overshadowed by the haunting image of Monkeyboard's mouth, I feel Metalfoes have withstood the test of time, and part of that is because this deck can fit a lot of engines and be incredibly versatile. Right before the dark ages of Master Rule 4, Firewall OTK, and Spectre getting criminally wasted in Vrains, we got perhaps one of the simplest, most budget and yet most fun Pendulum decks of all time.
